Our classes are all about your child exploring their own creative abilities. Fiona guides them so they can rightfully feel proud of their finished piece.
This full day class will give your child time to make a more complex piece, or extend their skills by sewing their work into a bag or cushion. We will also card fleece and try some spinning and plying

In Weaving The Riverina, I have explored this landscape we call home, by dyeing natural yarns with leaves and flowers from the area and then using these yarns to weave a series of wallhangings.
The works are also about how we can find new ways to do things. I chose to consciously use the loom as a tool, to make it do what I imagined it might be able to do, rather than what it has already been seen to do. The result is that those woven threads, that always criss cross each other in straight lines, can curve and move, gently wending their way up and across each piece, with all the imperfections and variations of nature.
The exhibition will be open from May 7 – 16
During this time I will have a loom set up with the exhibition and anyone who would like to is invited to come and weave.
