Alpaca Scarves & Shawls – March 2020

For this workshop the looms will be warped and ready with a beautiful white merino from Nundle Woollen Mills.  Choose some hand dyed alpaca, or a variety of gorgeous fine wools and silks and take a weekend out of your busy lives to weave yourself or a loved one a unique and original piece imbued with your own personality.

I have made this a 2 day workshop to allow time for a full length scarf, but you may find you need less time, depending on your style and the details you choose to add.

Book early to avoid disappointment as places are strictly limited to 5.  Never woven before?  The technique of weaving is quick and simple to learn and the creativity of it is something we all have within us.  I will guide you along the way, from the fundamentals of weaving to the creative additions that make each piece so unique.  So come along and weave yourself  your very own winter scarf or shawl.  Weaving is a relaxing and rhythmic activity that allows for conversations and new friendships while you weave your scarf.  Conversations continue afterwards too when people admire not just the scarf you are proudly wearing, but the fact you also designed and made it yourself.  Book early enough and I will thread the loom to your exact wishes.

Morning Tea and lunch is all provided

Materials will be extra for this workshop, the alpaca yarn @ .35c per gram.  All others are charged at .19c per gram.  You are also welcome to bring your own yarn, in which case there is just a small additional cost of the warp usage.

You are very welcome to call me with any questions or if you prefer to pay directly
