Holiday Weaving – Hoop Framed Hangings Thursday 31 January
Today I will show the children how to make small intricate weaves to create a wall hanging, which we will make on an embroidery hoop, adding buttons, beads, tassels & lace. Of course, as always, your children may choose to do any other form of weaving that their imagination can think up and I will do my best to enable them to succeed.
Of course nothing is set in stone during our workshops and if your child would like to make something a little different I will do my best to enable him or her to do that. We also have tapestry looms, circular bag looms, pompom makers and french knitting. Children are free to choose what they would like to make and on which loom, large or small. Classes are all about your child exploring their own creative abilities. I am here to guide them so they can rightfully feel proud of their finished piece.
All materials & morning tea included
This workshop is suitable for all ages.
Parents are very welcome to stay, have a coffee, weave with their child, or enjoy the garden
