Markets & Fairs

Sadly we have had to postpone the exhibition.  We are currently planning dates for next year

Exhibition – Weaving The Riverina April 2020

You are invited to the opening of my exhibition Weaving The Riverina.

Opening night – Friday April 3, 6 – 8pm
Join us for some cheese & wine, we would love to see you there

Tickets are free but please pop over to the classes section so you can reserve your spot (so we know numbers)

In the E3 Art Space of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery, this exhibition goes for two weeks.  It is all new work that I have been working on for over 12 months.

In Weaving The Riverina, I have explored this landscape we call home, by dyeing natural yarns with leaves and flowers from the area and then using these yarns to weave a series of wallhangings.

The works are also about how we can find new ways to do things.  I chose to consciously use the loom as a tool, to make it do what I imagined it might be able to do, rather than what it has already been seen to do.  The result is that those woven threads, that always criss cross each other in straight lines, can curve and move, gently wending their way up and across each piece, with all the imperfections and variations of nature.

The exhibition will be open from April 4 to 19
During this time I will have a loom set up with the exhibition and anyone who would like to is invited to come and weave.

Sadly cancelled
