Would you like to spend a day with friends & family, or meeting new people, creating together and sharing a new (or not so new) experience? Our workshops are relaxing, fun and a wonderful way to spend quality time together. Very popular as mother/daughter experiences, visiting friends, or even the whole family.
This is a full day workshop where you will be guided through every step, from the basic art of weaving on a floor loom, to creating your own unique piece of fibre art. You will weave a wall hanging, using a variety of yarns, fine threads, fabric strips, lace and other mediums. We have a huge choice of yarns & textures to choose from, what you use is entirely your choice. We will explore various design techniques and at the end of the workshop if you choose to you can attach the wall hanging to a piece of dowel, or other medium of your choice. Or maybe your wallhanging is nicer as a table runner – people usually only decide what it is when their piece is nearing completion.
Floor looms are all threaded and ready, so you are free to enjoy the weaving without the warp set up
