Free to Roam Winter Ponchos
Please note - PC161a is variations in green, 2 photos show front and back. PC161b is the same in blues
Handwoven in Australian Merino & naturally dyed alpaca, these ponchos are woven with a combination of various natural fibres, mostly alpaca and merino, also silk, cotton and maybe even some linen. The heavier weight gives extra warmth through the colder months of the year, while the variation of fibres adds texture and interest. Some may be carefully hemstitched by hand, others may have a simpler flat finish. Please check photos for each particular finish.
Grown and slowly-yet-delicately hand-woven on the banks of Lake Albert in Wagga Wagga, regional Australia.
Ponchos are warm, easy to wear and oh so versatile. Throw it on, and head out the door. Or take an extra moment to line up the joining seam, just forward of your arm and shoulder. For some more elegance, turn it a little, with the seam now down your centre back, roll the neckline over a couple of times, pair with some smart jeans and a long necklace.
Our small herd of suri alpacas live here on our farm and I can watch them grazing contentedly from the window while I weave. Supplementary fibre comes from nearby farms, making our slow fashion products truly sustainable and ethical.
Gently hand wash in warm water. Do not wring. Can be ironed with a protective cotton tea towel laid over it.
Maternity and breastfeeding friendly.
Approximate Measurements
Front Neck to lowest centre front point – 72cm
The width – (length across fringe line) – 60cm
The neck opening measures 60cm
One size fits most.
