Longline Tunic
Handwoven in Australian Merino and a cotton slub, this tunic has both colour and textural variations, with the charcoal black of the cotton bringing out the subtle colour variations of the merino. It looks equally stylish over a dress as it does with a pair of jeans.
Before weaving, I dye the warp threads using the flora of our local environment. Each dye bath comes out slightly differently, making each piece unique and individual. It is a completely natural process, using only leaves, water and heat. Some pieces may have highlights of coral, fuschia or even indigo, which will be from the intentionally left residual natural dye of a previous dye bath.
Gently hand wash in warm water. Do not wring. Can be ironed with a protective cotton tea towel laid over it.
