Winter Weight Merino Capes
Handwoven in pure Australian Merino, this cape will keep away the winter chill.. It has warmth without the restriction of a jacket and pairs perfectly with both jeans and dresses. Wear it with a matching long cowl for that extra warmth and style
Before weaving, I dye the warp threads. This may be with natural indigo or another natural dye like madder. I also use the flora of our local environment. Each dye bath comes out slightly differently, making each cape unique and individual. It is a completely natural process, using only leaves, water and heat. Some pieces may have highlights of coral, fuschia or even indigo, which will be from the intentionally left residual natural dye of a previous dye bath.
Sizes
Small - width cuff to cuff approx 105cm
Large - width cuff to cuff approx 115cm
Sky - large
Gently hand wash in warm water. Do not wring. Can be ironed with a protective cotton tea towel laid over it.
